The expiration of Dreamhost is coming.

转眼一年又过了，这个空间好象是2006-3-8号购买的。为什么要选择在三八去购买，具体原因已无据可查。

到期日来的这么快，多少有点让我措手不及。Dreamhost用了一年，总体感觉非常良好。速度及稳定性都不错。地震的时候也没断线，只是那个速度跟蜗牛一样，那感觉就有点像回到了电话线拔163上网那会，打开网站的时间可以去泡杯茶。光纤修好了，中国网民也就解放了。

使用优惠折扣码就能以$22.4购买了一年Dreamhost Level 1的使用权，但第二年必须按原价$119.4续费。以DH的优势，第一年几乎算是白送你用的了。我们无法抵挡这样的诱惑，于是我们就上当了，掉进它那温柔又毒辣的陷阱里。从这以后我们完全可以明白一个事实，卖家永远都比买家聪明。

原来我打算不再续费，把Weblog撤出来放到其他人的DH上去。联系老周并说明情况，这家伙“两”话不说就动手帮我开空间，并教我使用SSH命令转移数据。但域名怎么也绑不上去，DH比你想象中的聪明，它知道你使用优惠码买了主机，到期不继费还想变相继续享用，你就做梦去吧！我不死心，以为是DH的数据库没有刷新。老周说第二天再帮我试试，并劝我老老实实续费。其实我又何尝不想呢？但如此一个小站，一年承受近千元的费用真的有点过高。我尝试写信给DH，看看Support是怎么回复的：

Moving user accounts and domains from one account to another is a complicated process that we no longer handle for customers. In order for this to be accomplished, you must follow the below guideline which we have found to be the most efficient.

Before proceeding with that information, however, we must warn you about restrictions in place for this process. If the requested transfer-to account has the transfer-from account listed as a referral and/or the transfer-to account is using a promo code, the transfer of the domain will not be possible. This is in our fight against the rewards system being abused. Promo codes should only be used by new customers and rewards should only be paid out due to customers that are new to us.

If your situation resembles the above, we can remove the referral and its credit from the transfer-to account. Your promo code/credit will also be removed and your ability to transfer the domain across the system will be available. If you wish this to be done, lease alert us as trying to handle the domain transfer on your own will produce an error.

唉！我不得不死心。精明的商家怎么会比你笨呢？老老实实续费并找人合用吧！
